The last several seasons have seen a huge boom in enamel jewelry—so much so, that you can even find it on some engagement rings.

In many instances, you’ll see enamel used as an accent to a piece, offering pops of color that wouldn’t come naturally from gemstones or gold. We’ve been nuts for neon, pastel, bold, classic black and white—the rainbow in all its variety has made a tremendous showing in this style.

Enter maximalism. Maybe it’s the emergence from our quarantine cocoons, blossoming bigger and bolder than before. Plenty of trends point to us wanting more: rings on every finger; bigger, chunkier gold chains; cuff bracelets worn on both wrists. This also applies to enamel—where too much of a good thing is never too much at all.

The latest enamel pieces to grace the market are delightfully large on size and style, with bold colors not merely an accent, but often covering the surface of a piece in its entirety.

Smaller pieces are still hot, too, and many pack quite the punch when painted in bold enamel. Perfect for the curated ear lobe, charm bracelet, or neck party, these styles are highly collectible and endlessly wearable.
